Howdy RVer!
Welcome back to your consolidated view of RV information for the week.
This is going to sound very random, but can I just say for a second how much I love bison!?
Christina and I stayed at a bison ranch Harvest Host location with some friends over the weekend on our way to Montana. To say it was one of the best stops of our RVing journey would be a major understatement! This is not a promotion for Harvest Host, but they have done such a great job of curating a collection of unique experiences that cannot be offered anywhere. This is our fourth stay at one over the last year and we would love to stay at more!
Check out these pictures that we snapped while feeding the bison. For those that might want this same experience, this is Ring of Horns Bison Ranch in Hot Springs, Montana.
Until next week!

Why We Love It
If you didn’t know that Ocala, FL is “horse country,” you’d be like us before we visited. Let’s just say that our first visit to the World Equestrian Center was a half-day full of comments such as, “I didn’t even know something like this existed!”
Champions Run is one of those properties that has great sized sites, is almost always clean and has a beautiful pool. If I were to pick my favorite thing about this property, it would be how large the concrete pad is on the site. I wasn’t able to track down the actual size, but it is about double the width of any normal lot that you’ve stayed on. We have a 44’ Alliance Valor Toy Hauler and we could fit that, plus our F350 dually on the pad easily.

The week of the Fourth of July is typically a busy one at Montana campgrounds, but if you don’t plan ahead, you might have some trouble finding a spot. Luckily, a new bill passed by the 2023 Legislature—aimed at opening up opportunities for spur-of-the-moment camping trips—will go into effect just in time for the 2024 season.
House Bill 440 “requires that no more than 80% of all available campsites may be reserved in a state park, recreational area, or public camping ground with overnight camping,” said Hope Stockwell, the administrator of parks and outdoor recreation with Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, in a recent interview. “And so this means that for FWP-administered sites, we will be limiting our advanced reservations to 80% of available sites. And then the others will be available for walk-in use.”
